Nestled in the eastern foothills of Mount Tomaniivi, where the borders of Naitasiri, Tailevu and Ra provinces converge, Nakida qualifies as one of the most difficult villages in Fiji to reach. In this regard, a partnership project between the Community and Government through the Ministry of Infrastructure & Meteorological Services. This saw the construction of 6km access road with phase 1 commenced early 2021 amounting to $43k. This will benefit more than seventy (70) people who are accessing the village on foot and on horseback. The completion of the project will mean social and economic benefits to the people of Nakida and also access to essential services such as healthcare, education, agricultural markets, etc. Meanwhile, the phase 2 of the project is currently underway with the cost of $49k
